DLS Doctor checks dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) data and suggests likely causes of problems. The analysis runs in your browser; your files are not uploaded.
During the beta the service is free. Visitors without an account can run a limited number of full checks per day; signed-in users can use it without that limit. Features, limits and availability may change, and the beta may end. Before any paid plans start, we will announce them; nothing will be charged without your explicit purchase.
Use your own, valid email address and keep access to it secure, since sign-in links are sent there. One account is for one person. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu.
Do not try to bypass usage limits, overload or disrupt the service, access other users’ data, or use automated scripts against our servers. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
DLS Doctor is a research tool. Results are automated estimates based on published guidance and standard practice. They are not certified measurements and must not be the sole basis for clinical, diagnostic, safety or regulatory decisions. You remain responsible for your measurements, their interpretation, and any decisions you make.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or that results are accurate, complete or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (during the free beta, this means no fees). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
The DLS Doctor software, design and texts belong to us. Your data and results belong to you; we do not receive them. Rules taken from the scientific literature are cited, in particular Filippov et al., Mater. Horiz. 2023, DOI 10.1039/D3MH00717K. Zetasizer is a trademark of Malvern Panalytical; DLS Doctor is not affiliated with Malvern Panalytical or Anton Paar.
The “Analyse my flow” button leads to a separate, paid consulting service offered by . Using the button sends no data from DLS Doctor; any consulting agreement is made separately.
We may update these terms. For important changes we will notify registered users at least 30 days in advance. You may stop using the service at any time; we may end the service with reasonable notice.
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Consumers may also bring a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) and keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of their country of residence.
